Hi, I'm Smita! I'm excited about consumer tech, entrepreneurship, and artificiaI intelligence.

I graduated from Georgia Tech, where I studied Computer Science (concentrating in ArtificiaI Intelligence + Human-Computer Interaction), and was a Stamps President's Scholar & Coca-Cola Scholar. I am pursuing an MBA at Harvard Business School in Fall 2024.

Recently, I was a software engineer at Bank of America. Previously, I was a product manager + software engineer at Apple on the Health Team, where I conceived, built, and pitched the earliest prototypes of the iOS Mental Health Tracker.

My past engineering endeavors have led me to meet President Barack Obama and be honored as a National Center for Women in Technology Change Leader Scholar

I'm excited about tech entrepreneurship. I'm a 2020 Pear VC Garage Fellow, where I built a startup in the online curation space. I was also an AWS Venture Scout, where I scouted entrepreneurial talent at Georgia Tech. I was an avid member of Georgia Tech's Female Founders Program, a premier entrepreneurial organization on campus.

I've been fighting to eliminate the gender gap in STEM. I've served as President of Robogals at Georgia Tech, an organization that empowers girls in CS. I've also been involved in the National Center for Women in Technology as a Campus Rep and am a Rewriting the Code Fellow.

I'm passionate about CS education. I was a Teaching Assistant for Georgia Tech's Data Structures + Algorithms Course (CS1332). Back in high school, I founded a program in my community to empower & engage young kids in CS early on.
